What the Guild Expects From YouRaidingEvery member needs to come to our raids prepared. This includes:
- understanding the mechanics of your class, and knowing where to find expert information on talent specs, gears, and play styles
- being online and at the instance no less than 10 minutes before the start of the raid
- reading available strategies before raids
- being prepared (both mentally and financially) to wipe on progression content
While raiding, we push for top performance by:
- using consumables that are appropriate for the encounter
- being able to analyze failed boss attempts and suggest an alternate tactic
- being able to at least listen to Ventrilo chat during raids
- striving to perform as well as your gear will allow
LootYou are expected to make informed decisions about loot that benefit both you and the guild as a whole.
While we place no limits on the items members can declare interest on, picking up a piece of gear for visual or RP purposes when it is a large stat upgrade for another member is frowned upon.
AttitudeWe all pay our monthly fee to play WoW, and we all have freedom in what we do in-game. While raiding, Cold Comfort members focus on the task at hand.
There is
no such thing as a Drama-free guild. It's part of the human condition. When it happens, we deal with it swiftly so we can get back to business.
Intentionally creating drama or being inflamatory is a sure-fire way to lose your guild tag.
ParticipationCold Comfort raids three nights per week. When taking on progression content, we will need to discuss strategy outside of raid times, which is what our
strategy forum is for. We encourage everyone to participate in discussion. Every member should be aware of the strategy we are using by checking the forum before the raid starts.
CommunityWe are a part of the larger WoW community on our realm. We respect the players in that larger community. Don't do something that will make someone thing twice about inviting a member of our guild into their group.
While we play on an RP server, we are not an RP guild. Regardless of the level of RP that you choose to participate in, please respect members of the realm who choose to play immersively.
